Sample Itinerary Day 1 D - Travel to Bangkok - Thai Airlines TG 994 departsSydney,arrives BKK 4.15 pm.
- Bring large empty suitcases
- Limo pick up at airport, drive to Shangri-La Hotel
- Welcome drinks as we check in
- If you're feeling energetic, this may be the time to visit some of the tailors and small stores around the hotel. If you want clothes copied, bring orginals or photos.
- Dinner tonight at a beautiful Bangkok restaurant
Day 2 B, D - Breakfast - Sit on the outside terrace right on the Chao Praya River and enjoy one of the most extensive breakfast buffets filled with tropical fruit, freshly baked pastries hotcakes and a variety of breads, Thai noodle soups and the full-on eggs and bacon too..You'll need all your energy for the day ahead.
- We will take you to explore department stores and boutiques, some featuring hot new Thai designers, great shoe stores - with shoes in Western sizes!, handbags and more.
- Lunch is your choice at any number of cafes
- In the afternoon return to the hotel for optional spa treatments at the world class Chi Spa (pre booking essential), lazing by the pool or continue shopping (you're only here once!)
- Dinner at a charming Thai restaurant close to the hotel.
Day 3 B, D - Breakfast at the hotel and your morning is free to explore some of the shops around the hotel..everything from Afghani jewellery to groovy t shirts, heaps of silk everywhere.
- Depart for early afternoon flight to Koh Samui with its charming tropical open air airport..we'll be taken to the exquisite Karma Resort where you will settle into luxury villas then have just enough time for a massage before tropical cocktails (some of the best in the world!) and dinner at the elegant Padma Restaurant within the resort.
Day 4 B, L - Breakfast at the resort then you have the option to do absolutely nothing or join half the group to visit the local produce market with our favourite Thai chef then enjoy a cooking class in your own sala (living room) - the many dishes made are your lunch (and dinner!) Others may like to do an optional tour of Koh Samui with lunch at one of the many restaurants around the island.
- Spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing, having treatments included in your package or strolling through the local shops which run from airconditioned upmarket boutiques to markets stalls with lots of cafes and bars along the way to pace yourself. Please note there is no 9 to 5 with shops - they are open well into the evening.
- Dinner on your own - we suggest one of the restaurants along the beach.
Day 5 B, L, D - Breakfast at the resort then again you have the option to do absolutely nothing or join half the group to visit the local produce market with our favourite Thai chef then enjoy a cooking class in your own sala (living room) - the many dishes made are your lunch (and dinner!) Others may like to do an optional tour of Koh Samui with lunch at one of the many restaurants around the island.
- Lazy afternoon filled with treatments, swims in your own pool, the large resort pool or at our own beach, walks around the area.
- Dinner on your own - or join us to find some of the best "street food" and later, if you're interested in one of the more exotic parts of Thai nightlife, join us at one of the famous local "lady boy" clubs - a fun way to end a night with some incredible performers.
Day 6 B, D - Yoga – for the ‘sun worshippers’ from 7am at the lower pool deck
- Breakfast at the resort
- Beach day at neighbouring Choeng Mon Beach
- Thai style afternoon tea at the resort – fresh coconuts and yummy Thai sweets & ‘five minute massage angels’ to massage your shoulders
- Special Gorgeous final night dinner with a barbecue overlooking the beach ...beautiful food finished with the launch of traditional "Thai Lanterns".
Day 7 B - Breakfast at the resort then take it easy by the pool or do some last minute shopping or treatments.
- Fortune Teller at the resort between 9am-12noon – learn what 2008 beholds for you!
- Depart Koh Samui 2pm
